(Beijing, 30 January 2015) On Friday, 30 January, in the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in the PR of China, with support of the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia and his spouse, the Saint Sava Day was celebrated.
Students of the Additional school of Serbian language in Beijing have prepared and showed a short program with help of Biljana Stanković Ivanić, Counsellor for Consular Affairs and coordinator of the School and teacher and lector for Serbian language Nataša Radosavljević Gaberova. Technical support as well as music and video material has been organized by Milan Ivanić.
In colorful program, students introduced guests with stories from life of Saint Sava, and his role in Serbian history, and performed some recitations and songs. A short documentary film about Saint Sava has also been shown.
After the program guests enjoyed in delicious buffet of Serbian food and drinks, sponsored by Ambassadors wife Dana Bačević, Ms. Jelica Čepić, and parents of the students.
The celebration was attend by about 70 people, among whom was the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina with his spouse, Ambassador of Surinam with his family, priest of the Russian Orthodox Church in Beijing, director and teachers of the Russian school in Beijing, Serbian community in Beijing, parents and other guests.
