(Beijing, 24 November 2014) A delegation of the Ministry of Defense of Serbia and the Serbian Armed Forces, headed by Defense Minister Bratislav Gašić, visited the People's Republic of China from 17 to 21 November 2014.

Minister Gašić met with the Minister of National Defense of China General Chang Wanquan. The two officials signed an agreement on military donation worth 1.1 million USD. Minister Gašić also met with the General Fan Changlong, Vice-Chairmen of the Central Military Commission. During his visit to China, B. Gašić visited the National Defense University, where a MoU with the University of Defence in Belgrade was signed, as well as the Special Brigade of the Military District of Beijing and companies „Zhongxing Telecommunication Equipment Corporation“ and „China Poly Group Corporation“. The delegation was accompanied to the meetings by Ambassador of Serbia in China H.E. Mr. Milan Bačević.

Delegation of the Ministry of Defense and the Serbian Army took part in the Fifth Xiangshan forum in Beijing, the scientific conference dedicated to contemporary security challenges. Minister Gašić delivered the speech at the conference.
