Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and China’s State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi met on the margins of the 77th UN General Assembly. As reported, President Vucic had “an excellent, serious and meaningful meeting with Chinese friends, at which they reiterated Serbia’s and China’s strong commitment to the consistent struggle for the honoring of international law and principles embedded in the UN Charter.” President Vucic, who participated in the UN General Assembly’s annual session, said they also exchanged opinions on the situation in the world and on regional issues. „As always, I listened carefully to the measured, thoughtful and wise views of our Chinese diplomats,“ said President Vucic. The Serbian President wrote on his Instagram account that he and the Chinese Minister “agreed that overcoming the challenges of the present day required, more than ever, a rational approach with negotiations and dialogue which is the only way that must become a general principle for resolving all conflicts.” (Source: Tanjug) |
